Das Projekt setzt sich mit der Umbruchsituation in der Stadt Warschau auseinander, die, wie viele andere osteuropäische Städte, seit der Öffnung der Grenzen, in ein Spannungsfeld der Einflüsse der 'Globalisierung von oben' (internationaler Wettbewerb) und der 'Globalisierung von unten' (transnationale Migration) geraten sind. Der 'Jarmark Europa' im Warschauer Stadtteil Praga hat sich um die baufällige Betonkonstruktion des Stadions Dziesieciolecia angesiedelt und ist zum täglichen Handelsplatz für Migranten aus dem Osten geworden. Im Wildwuchs haben sich Aktivitäten entwickelt, die neue überlebensstrategien im Stadtraum offenbaren. Das Projekt untersucht Formen der Aneignung und Selbsorganisation.
englishThe project engages with the transformations taking place in Warsaw, which finds itself, as in other East European cities since the opening of the borders, in tension between 'globalization from above' (international competition) and 'globalization from below' (migration). The 'Jarmark Europa', in the Praga district, has taken over the failing concrete structure of the Stadium Dziesieciolecia and has become a daily market for migrants from the East. In uncontrolled growth, activities have developed that reveal new strategies for success in the city. The project examines forms of adaptation and self-organization.
